£5 minimum deposit casinos, and who runs them

23 of the 139 brands in our records state a £5 minimum deposit — the lowest floor that actually exists in the licensed British market. Check the licence column: a low floor travels with a platform, not with a brand.

The £5 group, and the companies inside it

23 of 139 brands state a £5 floor — 17% of the market, and the lowest figure that exists in the licensed British market at all. The table above carries the licensed company beside each brand, which is the column that turns a list into information.

Read it and the clustering is obvious: LC International Limited alone accounts for 5 of these 23 brands. Opening an account at each to spread your money across several businesses would spread it across one. The 14 companies behind these brands are set out on the licences page.

Why £5 and not lower

Below about £5 a card deposit stops covering its own processing cost, and the regulatory overhead per customer does not shrink with the deposit. So £5 is where the economics stop working rather than where marketing decided to stop — which is why no licensed brand offers £1 however much it is searched for.

Check the exit before the entry

A low floor is only useful if the balance can leave. 31 brands in our records set a minimum withdrawal above their minimum deposit, and the combination strands small balances. The table above shows both figures together for exactly that reason, and the finder lets you filter on the pair at once.

Fees at this level

90 of the 139 brands here publish no fee at all, so a £5 deposit on a standard route is normally free. The exception is paying by phone, where published charges run to 15% — and a percentage fee is at its worst on the smallest deposit.

What we could not verify

Whether the £5 floor applies to every payment method at each brand. Terms often set a general minimum and then a different one for a specific route, and only the general figure is recorded here. Figures are the operators' own, from published terms, read alongside register data dated 31st July 2026 — stated rather than tested.

£5 minimum deposit casino: questions readers ask

8 answers

01

Which UK casinos have a £5 minimum deposit?

23 of the 139 brands in our records, listed in the table above with the licensed company beside each. They include recognisable names as well as several brands most British players would not connect to the companies behind them.

02

Is £5 the lowest deposit available?

In the licensed British market, yes. No brand in our records publishes a floor below £5, despite steady search demand for £1 and £3 casinos. Our £1 minimum deposit page sets out that result in full.

03

Why do several £5 casinos share a licence?

Because the deposit floor is a platform setting rather than a brand promise. In this group alone, LC International Limited accounts for 5 of the 23 brands. Sister brands inherit the configuration, which is one of the clearest outside signs that separately marketed casinos are one business.

04

Can I withdraw a £5 balance?

Not always. 31 brands in our records set a minimum withdrawal higher than their minimum deposit, so a small balance can be stuck until it grows. Both figures sit side by side on every brand page.

05

Does a £5 deposit qualify for the same terms as a larger one?

Account terms apply the same way, but promotional terms often set their own qualifying deposit, which can be higher. We do not publish bonus offers, so the reliable answer is to read the specific promotion's terms rather than the deposit page.

06

Are there fees on a £5 deposit?

On standard routes, usually not — 90 of the 139 brands here publish no fee at all. Where a fee exists it is nearly always attached to a phone or mobile route, and a percentage charge hurts a small deposit disproportionately.

07

Is a £5 casino better for a new player?

It lowers the cost of finding out whether you like a site, which is a real benefit. It says nothing about payout speed, verification handling or complaint resolution — and those are what the rest of each brand's page covers.

08

How current are these figures?

They come from operators' published terms alongside register data read 31st July 2026. Deposit floors change without notice, so treat the figure as dated rather than permanent and check it against the brand's own terms before depositing.
