Two wallets, and a gap nobody explains
They do the same job on different handsets, so you would expect the same adoption. You do not get it: 73 of the 139 brands we hold deposit records for take Apple Pay and only 39 take Google Pay — barely half as many. Nothing about the two is technically different from a casino's point of view; both present a card held on a device.
The gap is a queue rather than a decision. Operators integrated the wallet their own customers asked for first, and a payment integration is work that has to be justified twice — once to build, once to keep certified. Many have simply not come back for the second one. The practical consequence is one-sided: an iPhone at a British casino cashier is a reasonable bet, an Android phone is a coin-flip.
It is your card wearing a wallet
This matters more than the convenience. An Apple Pay deposit runs on the card behind it and inherits that card's rules — including the British prohibition on gambling with a credit card, in force since April 2020. A wallet backed by a credit card will be declined at a licensed casino exactly as the card would be, and the refusal will arrive with no explanation of why.
It follows that the wallet does not hide anything from your bank either. The transaction reaches the same card, appears on the same statement and carries the operator's merchant details, coded as gambling. What the wallet changes is what the casino sees, which is genuinely useful and is a different claim.
The convenience does not survive the return trip
You cannot be paid to Apple Pay. A withdrawal goes back to the underlying card or to a bank account, which means the two-tap deposit is followed by the ordinary card timetable and the ordinary verification. Choosing a route on the way in on the strength of how fast it felt is the mistake this page exists to head off — the number that decides how long you wait is on the withdrawal side, not here.
The number to check first
59 of the 139 brands take neither wallet. If depositing from a phone without typing card details is the point, that is the figure that matters, and it is why this is not simply a list of who accepts Apple Pay. The brands in the table above do; the rest are a mix of Google-Pay-only and neither, and each brand page names its own routes.
What we could not verify
Whether a brand's Apple Pay support extends to every card type it otherwise accepts, and whether any integration has changed since our records were compiled alongside register data read 31st July 2026. Payment integrations are added and dropped without announcement, so treat every list here as dated rather than current.

Apple Pay casino UK: questions readers ask
8 answers
01 Which UK casinos take Apple Pay?
73 of the 139 brands we hold deposit records for, listed above. That is 53% — common enough to expect, not common enough to assume.
02 Why do fewer casinos take Google Pay than Apple Pay?
Only 39 take Google Pay against 73 for Apple Pay. Both are the same kind of thing — a card held on a device — so the gap is about integration order rather than capability: operators added the wallet their customers asked for first, and many have not returned to the second.
03 Is Apple Pay a payment method or just a card?
Underneath it is your card, which matters more than it sounds. The deposit follows your card's rules, including the British ban on gambling with a credit card, so an Apple Pay deposit backed by a credit card will be declined exactly as the card would be.
04 Can I be paid back to Apple Pay?
Not as such. A withdrawal goes back to the underlying card or to a bank account, so the fast, two-tap experience of depositing does not carry over to being paid. That asymmetry is normal across every wallet on this page.
05 Do phone wallets avoid the fees other routes charge?
Generally yes. The published charges in our records cluster on phone and mobile BILLING — a different thing entirely, where the deposit lands on your phone bill — and those run to 15%. A wallet holding a card is not that.
06 How many brands take neither wallet?
59 of the 139. If you intend to deposit from a phone without entering card details, that is the number to check first, and it is why this page exists as something other than a list.
07 Does Apple Pay hide my gambling from my bank?
No. The transaction still reaches your card and appears on your statement with the operator's merchant details, and gambling transactions are coded as such. Wallets change what the casino sees, not what your bank sees.
08 Where does this come from?
Our own operator records for the deposit routes, with Gambling Commission register data read 31st July 2026 for the companies beside them. Integrations change quietly, so treat any list here as dated.
